Chilean box wines with summer food

In the latest issue of Swedish wine magazine Allt om Vin, no less than 11 Chilean box wines are recommended to enjoy with all kinds of summer food, from picnics to barbecues.
Among the 130 box wines listed in wine magazine Allt om Vin there are eleven Chilean wines. Box wines are very popular in Sweden, specially during summer, since they are easy to transport. The experts of Allt om Vin also list "the three commandments" of bag in box-wine:
1. Observe the date when it was bottled, or should we say "boxed" - no more than six months should have passed
2. Store the wine in the refrigerator - to keep its qualities
3. Serve from a decanter - it will both look and taste better
Which one of there 11 wines will be your favourite this summer?
Among the white wines classified as Whites that go nicely with fish and seafood or alone as drinks - Recommended we find 2009 Amfora Sauvignon Blanc (article number 3065), 163 SEK/3000 ml, described as "Small aroma of sun ripe grapes but without grape character. Soft and nice flavour with no character, with fresh and clean ending". Among these whites that are considered Good value is 2009 Gato Negro Sauvignon Blanc (article number 7623), 169 SEK/3000 ml, "Minimal aroma. Fruity flavour, clean, with no grape character".
Among the Tasty whites to pair with fish, poultry and white meat in sauce - Best buy! is Casas Patronales Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc (article number 6895), 177 SEK/3000 ml, described as "Young aroma of green fruits. Generous, dry and penetrating flavour", and also the first Chilean Fair Trade wine at Systembolaget: 2009 Santiano Fairhills Chardonnay Semillon (numero de articulo 6689), 179 SEK/3000 ml, "Generous aroma with lots of character. Dry and very well composed flavour that goes with many dishes, a model wine!"
If you prefer rosé wine with food, have a look at this recommendation listed as Rosé wines with food - Best buy! where we found the very popular 2009 Casas Patronales Rosé Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot (article number 6896), 185 SEK/3000 ml, "Ripe, sweet aroma. Dry, lasting flavour with a hint of berries".
Not surprisingly most recommended wines from Chile are reds. Among the Fiery and plump reds to go with steaks and grilled meat and fish - Best buy! are 2008 Concha y Toro Reserva Carmenère Cabernet Sauvignon (article number 6571), 229 SEK/3000 ml, "Generous and nice aroma, with hints of mocha. Ripe, fruity, long lasting taste with hints of oak". Also in this group of reds but listed as Recommended is 2009 Gato Negro Cabernet Sauvignon (article number 7564), 194 SEK/3000 ml, "Fruity aroma with discreet grape character. Fruity taste, typical for its origin, in balanced style, long lasting taste with a hint of vanilla".
Still in the same group but listed as Good value is the ecological wine 2009 Santa Inés Organic Cabernet Malbec Carmenère (article number 6620), 149 SEK/1500 ml, "Warm, ripe, sweet and fruity aroma. Generous, fruity and comercial taste that not really justyfies its price".
Moving on to the Fruity reds to go with dark and white meat and fatter birds - Recommended we find 2008 Amfora Veronica Cabernet Sauvignon (article number 3127), 163 SEK/3000 ml, "Nice aroma with hints of vanilla and herbs. Ripe, soft flavour with certain grape character" and 2009 Viña Maipo Cabernet Sauvignon (article number 16510), 199 SEK/3000 ml, "Generous aroma with hints of raisin and glühwein character. Tasty flavour with hints of herbs".
Finally, among the red of the same style as the above but listed as Good value, is 2007 Santa Inés Reserva Cabernet Carmenère (article number 6283), 199 SEK/3000 ml, "Light fiery and fruity aroma. Generous taste, dry and a bit harsh with anemic hints of cherry".
